, I’m Tracy I’m a 39 year old women with a 18 year old son who
lives with me. I was told I had diabetes over a year ago. It was
partially me fault. I live with depression and I was eating alot of
sweets. My Grandma has it too. I’m still having problems dealing
with it. And I also have other medical problems.

    ,
I’m a newly diagnosed diabetic who went through hell and was close to
death before being diagnosed. I’m scared, angry, discouraged,
frustrated, how am I supposed to be happy?
    Thanks for letting me vent.

    to you all.
Im 27, and I have not really been diagnosed officially of
diabetes…both my parents are type2 diabetics.
i just found out ants are attracted to my urine.
is that a clear indication i already have it?
    thanks.

In the Diabetes For Canadians For Dummies it says that ancient Greeks and Romans knew about diabetes. Fortunately the way they tested for the condition by tasting the urine has gone by the wayside. That is direct from the book word for word. Nothing about ants being attracted to it. Chat soon.

Two ways that diabetes used to be diagnosed were whether ants were
attracted to your urine, and whether it tasted sweet. (glad I was not a
doctor back then). Both effects are from sugar in your urine. If you
have sugar in your urine, I think it is a sure bet that your blood
sugar levels are high enough that you are diabetic.

My mom had urine tests done on the test strips and she was diabetic ever since I was about 13 years old which has been 41 years ago. We just got out of the 20th century when we hit the year 2000. The tasting the urine was only done in the ancient times. Chat soon.
