hi. i just joined. i found out i had type 1 diabetes in december. i
was sick for a few weeks and was losing tons of weight and was going
to the bathroom nonstop. thankfully i went to the doctors in time, a
few more days and i could have died. my sugars were about 340, i was
totally dehydrated. i’m healthy now and i feel super. i’ve gained 25
pounds since then! my sugar levels are fantastic. my doctors are
wonderful. i’m 25 by the way. i am confident i will never have to
suffer any complications whatsoever. i have read tons of information
and every one of the books i read say that by keeping your sugars
close to normal, and having an a1c of 6.5 or below, it provides
powerful protection. i believe that in the not to distant future, a
cure will be developed. my doctor who also has diabetes said they
know how to put cells into your body, but havent figured out how to
stop them, because they turn into cancer right now. i’m sure they
will fix that. i’m 25, i have tons and tons of years left. i’ve
gotten kicked out of a few groups because i was arguing with the
people in there. i dont like how alot of these people on these groups
go around trying to scare newly diagnosed people into thinking all of
this horrible stuff is going to happen to them, when its not true. i
know all about the dangers of uncontrolled diabetes, thats why i’m
not going to ever let it get out of control.

Good luck robert. this desease is controllable as long
as your body lets u control it. their are people whose
body chemistrie go haywire and will not allow meds to
be induced or ingested even tho at first they appear
to work.
thanks dude. everything is going super. my body obviously is
accepting and using this insulin well. i’ve gained 25 pounds back
since december! i’m back to 138. my doctor said they might have to
put me on a diet so i dont gain to much! she’s thrilled with my sugar
levels. i’m so happy i have these people, they are wonderful. i feel
great!
