Hi all. Got my results back from tolerance test and the good news is
I’m NOT diabetic. I am considered insulin resistant I think is what
they called it, so I’m still going to continue following a lower carb
diet to prevent future onset. The downside is the doctor still thinks
glucophage would be a great medicine for me, but insurance wont cover
it. Seems to me that they would be interested in covering preventive
medicine considering the cost they will incur if we dont stop this
disease in its tracks :( Anyways, ya’ll seem like a really supportive group of people and I
hope ya dont mind me sticking around!

Hi everyone. My doctor’s office just called and the biopsy results were negative. No cancer. Also while in hospital, they did the bone scan about the pain I’ve been having in my lower ribs, that also came back clean. So it is a morning of good news for me!!!!

Thank you everyone who thought of me and so much more!!!

    Love bunches,

Hi, all I have some great news. Blackberry got to come home today. It is still a bit scary for me. I am so afraid something will happen with the newly operated on leg. But they took the special bandage off Thursday and removed the staples (instead of stitches) yesterday. Actually, we could have brought her home yesterday, but I told Kyle I would feel better for her, since having the special bandage off and just having the staples out, I would rather she spend another 24 hours with them incase anything came up from the bandage newly being off and the staples just removed yesterday morning. I wanted her there in case anything came up from it, and that way they would be there to notice anything and also take care of it immediately. It is a bit scary having her home, cause I am worried she will over do, or try something that could cause damage. We have all the furniture blocked so she can’t even try to jump up on it, and we removed the ramp from beside the bed so she doesn’t try
going up it and getting on the bed (she will use the ramp to get up on it, but always jumps off, which is a super big no-no). We carry her down the two steps into the fenced yard and then carry her back up them into the house when she is done potty. I was pretty scared when she first came home, as she was very restless and even tried running after Bill a couple times (running is big no-no also) and she is supposed to not do a lot of walking. But once he left for work, she went to her bed, settled in and slept mostly since then. Of course she got up for her evening meal, out to potty. And now that William is home from work, she is more active wanting to be with him. (She has always been a daddy’s girl) I will so be glad when the rest of the 8 weeks are up that it takes for it all to heal. It will be two weeks since surgery this Tuesday, Sept. 6.

    Love,

    Sue
