question for insulin users

March 10th, 2004 · No Comments

Anyone else get a site that all of a sudden hurts to insert the needle of the syringe there? I have always used my abdomen since starting insulin (on doctor’s orders of where to inject) and I do switch from one side to another and even when using the same side for awhile, inject in different area, not in exact same spot. But lately I have been getting so that when I go to even start the needle in, it hurts so darn bad I can’t do it and have to stop and move to different place. This has only been happening for the past few weeks, no longer than a month. I haven’t changed syringes or anything. Same brand, size, etc. Any one have the same thing happen to them?

Love and best wishes,

Sue

Oh, since I use Lantus, I only do one injection a day, so am not doing several.
