saw doctor today

May 11th, 2004 · No Comments

Hi everyone. I am still having to access sending email at the
group’s website, as computer is still messed up. I saw my doctor
today for my regular checkup. He added another insulin to my meds.
My blood glucose is doing ok in the mornings, but goes up too high
in the afternoon and evening. He added Novalog, and I take 6 units
about supper time. He ordered it in the flex pen, so I don’t have to
mess with drawing it up in the syringe myself. Just dial in the
amount, put on and new needle head and inject. He also added
medicine for my cholesterol. But he was not able to take out the
thorn I have embedded in my foot. He asked my primary care doctor to
do it, but he took one look at it and said I needed to have the
dermotologist remove it. So I have an appointment with them tomorrow
to remove the thorn. I found it in my foot on Saturday. Don’t know
how long it has been in there for sure. But it was swolen up and a
red ring around the thorn on Saturday. I have been putting

anitbiotic ointment on it and bandades since.
Hope you are all doing well. And that Stephanie is staying away from
the tomatoes. :-) Love,
Sue
