Hi. Thought I’d let you know that Lucy got to come home today. I picked her up
this afternoon. I sure hope that things go ok. She’s only been home since about
3:00 this afternoon and already she ate something in the backyard when I let her
out potty (so we are back to the muzzel) and she grabbed some bites of my dirty
rice when I left my plate unattended and my chair out (to go get the plate of
tomatoes). None of that was needed on her belly. Sigh…………. I gave her
a dose of reglan (oral, not the shots like they give at the clinic) and am going
to give her a dose of carafate in a few minutes. Hopefully they both will help
keep her stomach setteled and coat it to protect from getting upset.
She is not happy about the muzzel, but it is what worked last time. When we
still only had the small area temporaraly finced, it only took two days of the
muzzel and she didn’t touch anything after that. But when we got the permanent
fence up and all the back yard was opened up, it was like all the old rules
didn’t mean anything to her anymore. Now she has to re-learn. I just hope it
only takes a couple days again.
