fruit

Hi Margi. Fruit contains higher levels of natural sugars. It is ok to eat fruit,
but in moderation. Not a lot of it. Also some fruits are higher in natural
sugars, so some are going to affect your glucose more than others. I was allowed
1 1/2 fruit a day on my orriginal program the dietician set up for me. There is
a really good booklet from the American Diabetes Association that lists most
foods, and what their glucose and carb levels are. It has the foods seperated
into groups: meat, starches, fruit, etc. You can try going to their web site and
ordering one. I was given one orriginally by my counselor and diatican, but lost
it when we moved so ordered a new one from the ADA. It cost like a dollar. Not a
bad price for all that information. They may also just have it listed at their
web site. Can’t remember right now. Am dealing with sleep deprevation. Haven’t
had night with over 4 hours sleep in about a week, one night got almost an hour
of sleep the whole night.
Love and best wishes,
Sue
