I am not sure how long acting Metaglip is. Some meds are short acting: for a few
hours. Some are medium acting: up to 12 hours and some are long acting: close to
24 hours. If metaglip is a medium acting med it may be that is why when you took
it this morning, your bg is lower this evening. It has lasted it’s 12 hours and
affecting the evening reading. Check your morning one before med and see what it
is. Just curious.
I don’t know about my oral meds either, but do know about my two insulins.
Lantus is long acting and Novalog is short. But my bg bounces all over anyway. I
take Lantus and Glucotrol in the morning and Novalog with evening meal and then
the Avandia at 9:00 pm. So all is spread out hopeing that it will eventually
bring things into more balance bg wise. If moving your med from evening to
morning is working better for your bg, that’s really good and hope it keeps up.
Love and best wishes,
Sue

Great! I thought this might be a real breakthrough. It’s amazing where they can find meds these days. The next person who asks you how you are, tell them you’re fine, you’re eating lizard spit.
