record low in the am

September 4th, 2004 · 2 Comments

Good morning everyone…I tested at 142 this am which is a record for me ..ususally in the 150-160 area..I am finally getting there..My DR told me it would take about 4 weeks for the meds to work and I guess she was right…tested last night before dinner at 87 again…went to curves after work and then after dinner my husband wanted to go for a wlk which almost killed me but i did it and i guess i can say it worked for my nighttime numbers. Maybe my blurry vision will leave soon…

So glad your am numbers were good for you this morning. Oh yeh, it does take a
while for the meds to start bringing the bg down. Even my insulin, when the
doctor put me on it besides the orals, he said it will take so time for it to
bring the bg down. Of course you see *some* improvement right away, but for it
to get you to where things should be and stay there. You are right about the
exercise. The more you do, the better your bg will be. They don’t tell you that
(to exercise if you are diabetic) just for losing weight, but because it helps
the diabetes itself. Even thin diabetics are told to exercise.
    Love and best wishes,
    Sue
