Centrum is a really good all around multivitamin and as for the
expensive ones your body basically pees out anything it gets extra
so unless she has some really good test results from impartial labs
you may just be getting expensive urine. Also anything that can make
you hyper may have some added ingredients with side affects you dont
need. As a diabetic or any kind of person who takes medication it is
best to stick with basics unless your physician is ok’ing them. Many
Over the Counter vitamins and minerals can interfere with the
absorption of your medications and most people never know they just
wind up taking more meds or having wacko test results for a while.
Grapefruit is the one I usually refer to for this example: they took
it out of hospitals completely because of the way it affects so many
kinds of medications. However as long as it is in a vitamin
supplement it does not have to be tested it can just be called all
natural and perfectly healthy.
White Willow Bark is another: it is used in alot of multivitamins
and diet pills because it reduces pain and gives energy (according
to some). It also can cause heart arrythmias (according to others)
but because it is all natural it is not regulated by the FDA.
Good luck and just make sure that you are getting the recommended
daily amounts of the vitamins. Anything above that your body gets
rid of most of the time any way (expensive urine).
