glucose through the roof

January 24th, 2005 · 2 Comments

Oh! I am so upset and my glucose readings are through the roof because of the stress and upset! I hate living in Missouri. We are from Illinois originally (central part, with all small towns and farming communities) We moved to here 20 years ago and it has been night mare ever since! The people are awful down here. I don’t know if it has to do with St. Louis being about 50 miles away and that “big town” attitude is out this far. People are unfriendly, hateful, and have absolutely no respect for other people and/or homes around them!!!!! Starting just before 9 this evening the noise started again. A bunch of “4 wheelers” running up and down the road. We are at the end of a cul-de-sach and they come down here and turn around. It goes on for hours (literally!!!) at a time. The loud rumbling and gunning of the motors and mess. Every 5-10 minutes they are back. When all my windows are shut and my door, the TV is on and I still can not hear the TV show over the loud noise from
them, that is plenty loud!!! I called the subdivision president and he said to call the county police. I then followed them to see what house they went to, so I could give the exact address to the cops. The one woman yelled and asked me to come back to talk about it. (I was driving away from finding out the address to give the cops) I explained that for the noise to be happening that late at night for as long as it did, was too much. And that we are so tired of it going on all the time. For hours during the day and now after dark, that late at night. She was mouthing off when her husband came up and started in on me too. He yelled that 4 wheelers are made for the country and they will so what ever the hell they want to with them. I pointed out that “living in the country” where you run all over with 4 wheelers means lots of open land/acreage around you. He screamed that the subdivision is 435 acres and the is a lot of acreage. I pointed out that it was not open acres all
around just him, but a community of homes on those acres all around him and that is different. A community is different than just open space. There are 88 homes on all those acres, and that makes it a community, and as such all those other homes deserve the respect of not being subjected to the noise, dust (gravel roads), and general bother. We each have a minimum of 5 acres, with 10 acres being the largest lot size. Why can’t they do their stupid noisy riding on their own 5 acres and leave the rest of us alone?! I so wish we could go back home to Illinois, but have another 8 years of this hideous place to live before Bill can retire. We never had people be like this back in Illinois. Not as hateful and selfish as down here. Anyone else who has moved into this state says the same thing about the people here. Heck, back home neighbors visited back and forth, had each other over for meals, got together and played cards, never were dis-respectful of the other person. The only
time we ever had a problem with a neighbor was a couple that moved into the neighborhood, from ……Missouri. They were the nightmare of the neighborhood. We were all so relieved when they moved away after a few years.

I knew I was feeling really bad health wise after the mess, and took my bg. As I said, it is through the roof. My vision is really bad, nauseated to my stomach, floaters in my eyes really bad, dizzy, and much more.

Am going to try to calm down. The police finally showed up and listened to the problem and are on their way down to talk to the trouble makers.

Hope the glucose goes down soon.

Oh Sue I feel for you so much. I know all about hateful prople from Missouri, my husbands step-mom is from there and you wouldnt believe some of the hateful spiteful vinndictive things she has done! In a nut shell she has alienated Sams dad from all 4 of his sons and just recently signed survivorship of everything over to her daughter from a previous marriage. Oh well guess theres nothing to do about it. We moved here to center city Springfield OH cause it was easier for Sam do get hom since he drives a semi. We use to live in Panhandle OH. I hate it have been here 4 years now and want to go back home so bad. And of course, around dark is when all the riff raff comes out, cars with rap music so loud it vibrates my windows, parties etc.. you call Springfield city police, they dont do anything. I have 11 other siblings and when I first moved here was here about 2 days they called and checked on me and asked how I liked it my response for Springfield OH “Its full of assholes
and garbage!” Oh and ya can forget about trying to get a baby to sleep around here it just dont happen. I dont know whats wrong with people today. No respect for others. I hope the police at least get things quite for you. I just hope it dont make things worse. From personal experience, when I called and the police came out and talked to them, they done the noise and partying 10 times worse. I am sooo glad they finally moved. –Linda–

I too know what you mean. Rebecca’s other grandmother won’t even acknowledge her and her other grandfather can’t even talk or hug her when that woman is around. Her dad hadn’t seen her for a good 4 years of her life because of that woman and he finally woke up and smelled the coffee. He point blank told her that he will not lose another day of his daughter’s life. Chat soon.
