Hi. This question will mostly affect us gals. Even though I have been diagnosed since Feb. of 2002, I am still learning things about diabetes. I have noticed something over the past couple years. I don’t need to shave my legs and arms as much as I used to. And it seems like it is slowing down even more. I shaved my legs two weeks ago and no stubble yet. Good gosh, I remember when there would be stubble in only a couple days. But now, still smooth.
Any one else have this since becoming diabetic? Or is it an age thing? I did just turn 50 a few months ago and didn’t know if that could be it. But seems like I have noticed it more since becoming diabetic. My hair on my head doesn’t grow slow. As a matter of fact, it seems to have gotten faster (the gal I go to for my hair has commented on that too). But as for the legs, arms, and even my eyebrows, they are slow as molasses. I trimmed my eyebrows with one of those trimmers with the attachment you put one for cutting your eyebrows and accidentally put on the “short” side. That has been two months ago and they are just now looking like eyebrows that a beautician trimmed up.
Love and best wishes,
Sue

I know what you mean. My doctor had sent me to a Dermatolagist who said that certain nationalities like French, Irish and others have that problem as it’s in our DNA nice. Use to be I could just take tweezers and pluck now though in the last two years it’s almost as bad as my husband and son’s lol have to get the razor after it every now and then but the legs and arms haven’t had to all summer. Chat soon.
Love Roseanne
