Hey, remember how excited I was about this new home A1C test kit ($20)? Well, not so impressed. I took a test last month to try it, got 7.2 and was a bit surprised. So I bought a second one and took the test in my doctor’s office with the nurse watching last week and got 7.8!!! <gasp! o_O how can that be when I’ve been good???
But my fasting sugar was pretty good (for me that is) at 112, when I had been running in the 140s. ^___^ Gonna’ stay with the one glucophage after dinner for another three months and see if the am number can come down even more (the lab’s range is 80 to 110). My previous A1C’s were 5.7, 6.1 and 6.7 so back down to 6.0 is encouraging.
