real butter and margarine

June 21st, 2005 · No Comments

I don’t know how many of you remember some time ago we were having some discussions about real butter and margarine. I didn’t mention at the time that I had switched over to eating only real butter. (Had been craving it) Well, yesterday at the doctor’s office besides having my A1c results, he also had my cholesterol results. My bad cholesterol had went down as did my over all cholesterol reading. As compared to the results/readings three months ago. I have not been on any cholesterol medications, and the only change food wise was switching to real butter. As a matter of fact, I didn’t eat margarine every day on stuff, but there is not a day that goes by that I don’t have butter at least once on toasted english muffins or regular toast. Anyway, I found it interesting that since I started eating the real butter, my cholesterol readings went down. I’ll have another test of them in 3 months, but the doc put me on Lipitor since I am diabetic and we are more prone to
cholesterol problems.

Love and best wishes,

Sue
