The dentist finally got that tooth out this morning. I was so glad to get there and him get started. It had been getting worse and worse. By yesterday I was even sore in the neck area below the tooth. He did pull the wisdom tooth. That was the one he had planed on pulling all along (well, since last Friday). I was feeling so exhausted when I got up this morning; not a lack of sleep exhausted, but like my body had been fighting some sort of attack for a long time. Not like someone hitting me kind of attack, but when your body is fighting off some sort of illness or such. Anyway, he said getting that tooth out should clear up everything in a few days. Of course it is going to take some time for healing and such, but should start feeling better. It took nine (9) shots to finally get it numb enough to pull. Still was uncomfortable during the pulling, but not enough that I couldn’t stand it long enough to get that darn thing out! No way was I going to have him stop part way
through for more shots. As I said, it was uncomfortable but not to where it wasn’t something I could take, to be able to get that tooth out as soon as possible. He was really good with getting it out. Rocked it back and forth a few times and then started the pulling up while rocking it. They put the packing in right away to bite down on to stop bleeding and had me leave it 35-40 minutes. Just about that long to get home. Once home, I took it out, had Bill check for any bleeding still (they sent more gauze home for packing if it was still bleeding), he said it wasn’t and then I was finally able to go to sleep. I needed sleep so bad for my body. Woke up a few minutes ago thirsty and so thought I’d check in before going back to sleep. No, no sedatives were given and no prescription pain pills to make me sleepy. Just my body that wore out.
Love,
Sue
