looking forward to next week

November 3rd, 2005 · 1 Comment

Yum - yum. I am so looking forward to next week. I just put in our yearly order for oranges from Florida. We have been buying from this supplier for about 10 years now and always love getting the oranges. We always order a bull bushel (to start with) of Navel oranges. They are soooo good. We can’t stand grocery store oranges any more. Even the ones that come from Florida. Cause they always pick them early and finish the ripening part in a warehouse with gas. (One reason store oranges are so orange color and natural ones aren’t). But the ones we get come directly off the tree, no artificial ripening, and shipped express to our house (since no preservatives are added also, like the grocery store ones). Once we get them, have to unpack and put in fridge right away. But so worth it. We share with family and friends and people have been asking already this year if we have our oranges yet. LOL We usually go through another bushel, sometimes two more, before the season ends.
They will be picked tomorrow, shipped that after noon and be here no later than Monday. Possibly by Friday. Depends on UPS and how they are on their express orders this year.

Love,

Sue

Oh I love those Navel Oranges, I order them from the school’s FFA (Future Farmers of America) Kids. They are awesome. –Linda–
