Hi all. In the past I have mentioned several times that medications can affect our glucose levels. Some can make it go higher (prednisolone, etc) and etc. Well, I was given Leviquin today and was just checking on it. It is one of the meds that is highly affective on our glucose levels, only this one instead of making it rise, makes it drop. Just wanted to give you another example of how meds can affect our glucose and unless you check out any your are already on or any new ones, you may not even know they are messing with your glucose.
I am taking the Leviquin cause last night I felt like something was in my ear. I was worried that one of the moths flying around had maybe got in there, cause it felt like something was moving in there. But when I put my finger just in the ear opening I felt wet and pulled it out and it had bright red blood on it. Don’t know why it was bleeding, but called my doctor’s exchange this morning (wouldn’t have done any good last night cause the urgent care center was closed and so were all our pharmacies) and he said it probably was from ear infection, so that is why one the antibiotic.
Will send the url for the prescription/medication info site in a different email. It is the one through the government.
