Well, I just got my candy for Christmas ordered. I was watching one of the satellite channels and they had on about foods and unusual foods. There was a place called Hotlix that is in California (if I remember right) that specializes in insect food and candies. They even have a restaurant of insect foods. So I looked them up on the net and ordered some chocolate ants and chocolate assorted insects (crickets, worms, etc), then some boxes of non candy, but cooked: barbequed larvetts and cheddar larvetts and bacon & cheese crickets. Can’t wait for company to come visit. I do plan to eat some myself. Can’t pass up trying these. If I really like them I may see about ordering the non candy or cooked stuff and try frying or cooking up some at home myself. I’ve heard they are a better protein source than beef, chicken, fish or pork. They had some good pointers on the show for when cooking them. Always remove the legs on crickets and don’t try to microwave big cockroaches (they will
explode in the microwave).
