Blog about diabetes

For those very informative and detailed responses . . . I am very
grateful. I do have the Atkins Book somewhere, I just have to find
it. I have made sure the necessary people in school knows of his
condition, his closest friends and the managers at Dairy Queen know
about it, as well. I have been collecting as much carb info off the
internet as possible, and am making him a notebook, especially for
restaurants in the area (small town, though, so not a problem) so he
can eat out without too much confusion.
I am very glad that I thought about searching for this group and that
you let me join. I have learned a lot and there are a lot of things I
have yet to consider, I’m sure. When we were at the doctor’s office
this week for our follow-up, they did tell us about a class at the
health department that I should call and check on as soon as I finish
this e-mail. Our doctor and the doctor he is partners with have a
reputation for being the best diabetic doctors in the area, so I guess

I’m lucky in that respect.
And by the way, I don’t remember who mentioned their son being a
drummer in a marching band, but my son is also a drummer in the
marching band, and they will be in the Christmas Parade at 6:00
tonight. It’s pretty cold here today, so by that time it will be
really cold, I’d say. I’m thinking of taking one of those Chiminea’s
with some kindling and a small log or two and perhaps selling $10
tickets to anyone who wants to stand near enough to feel it’s warmth.
