Another beginner question, here. The other morning, the only thing
Jeremy was going to have for breakfast was scrambled eggs with cheese,
basically a carb-free breakfast. Since he has been instructed to add
his carbs so he will know his insulin dosage, what do you do if you
are having a meal with no carbs? It is possible to do that from time
to time, I just hadn’t thought about it until then. Are you supposed
to skip your shot? I’m going to ask the doctor about it at his next
appointment, just wanted to hear some opinions from some of the
members here, too. What I did in this instance, and I know this may
sound stupid, but I told him to have some food with carbs (toast and
milk) so that he could have some kind of carbs to count and then a
small dose of insulin. I just didn’t feel comfortable with him not
taking nothing at all, and at that time of morning, the doctor’s
office isn’t open, yet. What would any one of you recommend in this
instance? Thanks!!
