new problems

July 27th, 2006 · No Comments

Well, just when I get my sugar under control with the 2 pills after dinner, now my thyroid seems to be barking. Noticed a swelling in my neck at the base of my throat on the right side, feels odd to swollow and raise my head recently so I saw my doctor. It’s been 4 months since my last blood work and everything seemed normal then. Getting an ultrasound of my thyroid asap (tomorrow on stand by with the radiology group, Monday at 10 am for sure) and just had some T3/T4 blood drawn (should know that result Friday afternoon). Is this common with diabetes, being the thyroid is affected by auto-immune diseases and hormones? I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, and had a hysterectomy 6 years ago besides running extra sweet. Geesh!! It’s always something else these days!! And I called a few of my friends and it seems everybody is on Synthroid! Oi vey…
