busy day

Well, they did not admit me to hospital. Drew several vials of blood, and did x-rays. ER doctor added prednisone to the antibiotic I am already taking. For my having trouble breathing, he ordered a respiratory treatment. Oh my gosh! The way it helped. It was with in just a few minutes and I was bringing up terrible stuff from my respiratory system. When the doc saw what was coming up, he had them give me a second one. The difference it made! I wasn’t having to struggle to breath. He was concerned about my glucose being 271. I told him we had an appointment with our endocrinologist at 11:00 today. We got home just long enough to catch an hour nap and then off the endo. Told him what all was going on. He increased my insulin and put me on a sliding scale for while on the prednisone (it makes glucose go up drastically). Came home and stopped to pick up the scrips the er doc sent home with me; the prednisone and an inhaler. So am on: biaxin (antibiotic), tesselon pearls
(cough), Mucinex (expectorant), vicodin for pain (from the coughing, sore throat, and head ache from the coughing), prednisone, and Provental HFA inhaler. And lots and lots of water. Was drinking several glasses of oj a day, but ran out it. Have been drinking white cranberry/peach juice, and lots and lots of water. Finished off the gallon jug at 4:00 this morning; had put it in yesterday about noon. At least a 1/3 of the way through the new jug.

That’s about it. Am so tired and worn out. Am going to go get some very much needed sleep/rest.

Love,

Sue
