Symlin

November 21st, 2006 · No Comments

Well, I just took my first injection of Symlin. Will see how it goes. Went to the web site I use for info about meds and glad I did so. I got some very useful information. The doctor gave me a sample vile of it, so had no pharmacy instructions on how to use it and side effects. The doctor did say to use it as close to a meal as possible, but the medicine site I went to said to use it at the time of a meal, to help keep glucose from dropping too much. Also said to have hard candy, juice or such with in easy access incase it drops too much. I have to remember to take my glucose reading just before I eat and also afterwards to know how my glucose is doing. Gosh, I hate sticking myself that much. Sigh……………………. The injection did burn. But my insulin injections do that sometimes, so don’t know if that was a one time deal. But hoping so.

Would still like to hear from anyone else who might be on it and what your idea and how it has been for you.

Love,

Sue
