Byetta question

December 8th, 2006 · No Comments

Hi, everyone. I asked a question about Symlin a couple weeks ago, as my doctor had put me on it.. And someone responded about it and Byetta. My doctor changed me to Byetta (was having the bad side effects with Symlin). I switched over to it last Monday, June 5. So I have been on it about a week and a half. It is working great on my glucose levels and as for it’s possible side effect of losing weight and not being so hungry, I am lucky enough that is happening for me. My question I have; is any one else on it and are you having trouble being hungry enough to eat? An example: this morning I had two pieces of toast with peanut butter on them, and I was not at all hungry for lunch, actually was not hungry till about 7:00 this evening. I had the toast at 10:00 this morning. When I did eat this evening a small lettuce salad and about 5 ravioli filled me up. I know we are supposed to skip meals, but there was no way I could have eaten a meal at lunch time. I did have a can of
Glucerna at 2:00 this afternoon, so it would help out with my glucose levels (it is made for diabetics who can not eat a meal, and it can take the place of a meal). Anyone else this extreme of not being hungry? I am not complaining. I am glad my appetite has dropped like it has, and I am not feeling hungry so much. But I know I need to eat three meals a day. I just am not hungry enough to do so. I still feel full from the bit of breakfast I have, even 4-5 hours later.

Thanks to all,

Sue
