Hi all. We are finally back home. They were very busy at the uc and had to wait a bit for doctor to see me. He pulled a chunk of glass out of my foot. Oh man, it hurt when he was probing to get a hold on it, but thank goodness it is out. Feeling much better on the pain, but just don’t feel so good other wise. I think it is a reaction to the stress on my body of having the glass in there hurting since last night and then Bill poking at it to try to get it out (which I had asked him to see if he could get it) and then the doc’s probing to get it out. He gave me about 5 days of Keflex, because of the diabetes and it being the foot that was hurt. Stay off it as much as possible for the next couple days and keep it covered to keep it clean and dry. He said to wear shoes. If only the man knew how hard that is going to be. I have never worn shoes unless I absolutely have to and get them off as soon as possible. (Mom and dad couldn’t keep shoes on me as a child) I sort of
compromised. I got my shipment of moccasins that I ordered and have on a pair of the soft soled ones. So that is not as bad as regular shoes. But don’t know how long I will be able to stand having even those on. Well, am tired and feel like I could take a couple hour nap. I may just do that.
