We have a guest in our garage. Bill was outside taking the kids potty yesterday (early evening) and saw the lights of the garage go on. The garage door was open and if anyone or anything passes through the sensor (at floor level) of the garage door, the light goes on. So he went to check and found a black young cat had went into the garage. Poor thing was cold, and is skin and bones. I had him go ahead and put the garage door down so she wouldnt wander off. Took some water out, and a tiny bit of food (when they have not had food for a long time, you have to start out with tiny amounts. If they get much at all, it will only make them throw up). She snarfed the food down in a flash. We found some old blankets and such to pile up on top a cushion (was going to throw away) to make a bed and also used a box and put some cat litter in it. She is so friendly and affectionate. At least she is out of the cold rain, the nasty wind we are having and it is much warmer in the garage than
outside. Of course we cant bring her into the house, cause if she has feline leukemia, our cats would catch it. We are going to take her out to the vets tomorrow morning (when they open up from the holiday) and have them do the leukemia check. She is adult size, but you can tell she is still a young one that is most likely not a year old yet. We took more bits of food out to her through out the evening. Bill has taken more out today. I imagine we can increase the amounts today, her body should be getting more used to having some food. But it wouldnt be able to take a lot of food yet.
