Just got back from the orthopedic doctor. Am set up for arthroscopic surgery on the knee for Wednesday, Jan. 24. Surgery is set to start at 10:30 a.m., but be there for pre-op at 8:30. Will be outpatient and will be on walker for some time (good thing we still have dad’s walker). He said in time I will definitely need a full knee replacement, but as of now, would prefer to wait. Since I am so “young” (his wording and bless his heart for such wording) they rather not do it on someone my age, as the replacements last average of 10-15 years (depending on material it is made of). So they try to do replacements on older people. Wow, for once, something my age is not too “old” for.
