Hi, everyone. I am finally back in the world of being human again. Or at least close to it. LOL

The knee surgery went fine last Wednesday. Today is the first day since the surgery I have not been asleep all the time. At first it was from the pain pills and then after that it was from the Benedril for the allergic reaction to the steri-strips over the incision sites and the ace bandage that they used to hold the packing in place over the entire site. Had a vicious rash just above the ankle to half way up my thigh. Also blisters at the steri-strips. Finally the rash is almost all gone and the medicine my primary care doctor ordered for me helped get rid of it. Just a few patches here and there, but luckily the prescription med helps stop the itch along with clearing up the rash. The steri-strip fell off on Saturday, and only one small new blister today. The others popped and am putting antibiotic ointment on them, along with the incision sites. Also today is the first day I can walk without the walker. Am using the cane though, but hope to not need it within a day or
two. But most of all, the surgery worked and I am not having any pain. I am so thankful for that.

Well, my knee is telling me I have been up too long and it needs me to get back in my recliner and get it elevated.
